Discovering the true meaning of Christmas in the journey of the Wise Men.
Matthew chapter 2 records the story of the Magi from the east who arrived in Jerusalem seeking the One who had been born King of the Jews. These wise men followed a star in the east and traveled a great distance to worship the newborn King. When they found the child with His mother Mary, they fell down and worshiped Him, and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
The story of the Wise Men serves as an inspiration for us to seek Jesus with all our hearts, regardless of the obstacles or hardships we may face.
By following their example, we too can experience the joy of God’s presence in our lives and find the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus.
She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel”(which means, “God with us”). Matthew 1:21-23

"Living the dream!" Zach replies when I ask how they’re doing. Ireland is truly a dreamy place, and Zach and his wife Ellie have been blessed with a supportive community of believers at West Church in Ballymena. Zach serves as a youth and young adult coordinator, teaching the Bible to students who are eager to learn more about Jesus. Ellie's business, Ellice Designs, is thriving. She has expanded her designs and sells them not only on Etsy but also at local markets. All the while, she is caring for their little boy, Ezra, who is the sweetest and busiest of them all. He has won over the hearts of everyone he meets.
Luke & Abbi
In Glenn, Michigan
Luke and Abbi are enjoying life on their hobby farm. Luke works in real estate and land management. Abbi thrives as a nurse for Corewell Health. Life keeps us all busy but we manage still to get together for birthdays and holidays.
Mark & Mara
In Zeeland, Michigan
Mark has fully recovered after his foot surgery and is now back to climbing Mt. Baldhead stairs and dancing a gig occasionally. Mara’s Abundant Life Women’s Ministries successfully hosted their third gathering, which yielded fruitful results. She has also started a new job at Right to Life of Michigan, which she loves. We thank God for all the good, hard, and unexpected parts of life that increase our dependence on Christ.
