Your security and maturity

Do you want to be more mature and more secure? That’s what God wants for you.

Whether you believe it or not, our identity is connected to our creator. We were created by God for a relationship with him and he wants to do a good work in us and through us, to love, encourage and improve the lives of others. When we are disconnected from our creator we are weak, insecure, unwise, immature, and unable to accomplish anything truly meaningful and life changing that will last. When we’re in right relationship with God our creator, we become more secure, more mature and more equipped to make a meaningful impact in our relationships, work and in the world around us. God wants to mature you and secure you.

God wants to make you a better lover of people not a better rule keeper

Did you hear that? It's not about following and keeping all the rules, checking boxes and "doing the right thing". It's about becoming a better lover of people, it's about becoming more like Christ. That's why God created and saved us.

The sign of your spiritual maturity and growth isn’t your prayer life or scripture memory or church attendance, it’s how you treat other people.

Do you love like Jesus loves? When you understand God’s love for you, when you’re completely captivated by his amazing grace and love that you know you don’t deserve, you’re compelled to love unconditionally the way Jesus loves. The apostle Paul writes in Philippians 1:9-11: "I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God." Thats what God wants for us and if you truly know Him you'll want it for yourself. I do and that's what I'm praying for myself, my family and friends, and for you. Help us Lord to see as you see and do as you do.
