How to go from fearful to fear-less.
Fear feeds fear.
If you spend time with fearful people you will adopt their fear. If you spend time with courageously faithful people you will adopt their courageous faith.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
~1 John 4:18
Would you like to know perfect love and live with less fear and more faith? It begins with a relationship with Jesus, filling your mind and heart with His word, and surrounding yourself with His followers.
Want to stop worrying and live your life with less fear? Take a leap of faith.
Life is not perfect nor fair. Its messy and ugly and painful at times, and thats normal. We were never promised a perfect or fair life. In fact we were warned of hard times to come in this life but we were encouraged not to fear because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world and Jesus has conquered sin and death.
We fear the unknown, we fear change, we fear pain, we fear sickness, we fear death, but we don’t have to. The sooner we accept that there is very little that is unknown, and God knows all, the unknown is less scary. The sooner we accept what can’t be changed, the easier it becomes to live with. The sooner we accept that pain is inevitable but misery is optional, it becomes less crippling. The sooner we accept that sickness and death comes to us all but it’s not the end of us, we will fear less. The sooner we accept all this, the sooner we begin to truly live victoriously in peace and joy in all circumstances.
When your faith in Jesus is greater than your fear of something then you will truly fear less and you will have peace and confidence to say ’all is well with my soul’ regardless of circumstances.
Stop striving to be like someone else and be the best you can be. You’re uniquely created by God. He loves you just the way you are, and He’s gifted you with talents and skills to encourage others.
Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” ~John 14:27
